For sale here is an H.L. Leonard Model 38 bamboo rod from the 1970s. 7' 2/2 for a 4 weight line. The rod weighs 3.2 oz. and remains in excellent condition with original bag and labeled tube. All sections are full-length and straight. Bright red wraps over classic blonde Leonard cane. Blued guides. There is black tipping on one tip-top to distinguish the two tips. Cigar grip is moderately soiled but free of any other defects. Nickel silver cap and ring reel seat over a beautiful tiger maple spacer. The grip shows some slight ridging. The ferrules are size 13/64 with a great fit. The rod weighs 3.65 oz. The action is a wonderfully smooth and crisp medium-fast. Comes with original tube and replacement bag.
