Course Description:
Epilepsy is a complex neurological condition. With insights provided by carers and individuals living with epilepsy, this course defines epilepsy and discusses its prevalence, diagnosis and possible causes and symptoms. The different types of seizures are described, as well as appropriate first aid, and identifying when to call an ambulance. ‘Triggers’ and lifestyle factors are also identified, in the context of how to best manage the condition.
