50s or early 60s plaid fit and flare dress! No tags and looks to be hand made. The fabric is a nubby woven wool like (probably acrylic) plaid in shades of blue, black, pink and purple. Jewel neck dress has snug dolman sleeves with gussets under the arms for ease of motion. Sleeves are full length with darts at the elbows. Bodice has bust and waist darts. Waist seam is just slightly above the natural waist, but not empire. Widely flared skirt is cut on the bias and has a 3" hem in case you want to let it down. 4. 5" metal zipper at the neck in back and a 14" metal zipper in the side seam. There are belt loops at the sides, but no belt. The belt shown is not included. Petticoat used in photos is not included. Excellent condition. Photos make the skirt look lighter, it is the same color as the bodice. (Darn that Oregon sunshine!) Sapphire blue mid century pin up dream in this bombshell dress!
