We are delighted to offer this distinctive 1952 Longines “Knotted” President Washington, cased in 14k yellow gold with a beautifully aged ecru dial.

The design features intricate guilloché detailing on the outer chapter ring, applied gold indices combined with applied Arabic numerals at 3, 9 and 12,  and a recessed small seconds sub-dial at 6 o’clock.

Powered by the manual-wind Calibre 22L with 17 jewels, the case’s knotted lugs add a dash of period drama and give this watch a unique aesthetic. There is some light patina centrally on the dial, which may continue with the passing of time, and there are signs of previous wear consistent with its age. An unusual-looking Longines - this is sure to pique the interest of any Longines lover! 

NB: This watch is offered for sale as seen, as the watches service history is unknown and we are selling it on behalf of a watch collector's family who have asked us to help sell an entire collection. As there are quite a few watches to dispose of, the clients do not wish to spend unnecessary money on servicing each watch before its sold so we have priced the watches to reflect it being sold un-serviced and without a warranty but it can be arranged with our watchmaker at an additional cost if you wish.
