Once installed and the engine cycles through startup, the fault code should clear on its own. If the code persists after 2–3 restart cycles, have the wiring harness and connector inspected for corrosion or damage.

Can I reuse the old connector or gasket?

The connector itself is usually fine to reuse, but inspect it for corrosion inside the terminals. Do not reuse any gasket or seal that came off the old sensor—replace it with a new one to prevent exhaust leaks.
