This vintage 1950s négligée is so dreamy, consisting of a dress and matching robe. The dress's empire waist it is loosely smocked, with accent thread to emphasize this unusual technique. The base fabric is a sweet buttercup yellow, with a pale ivory overlay, creating an almost ombré effect. Also at the smocked waist is floral appliqué. Ruffled lace trim at the straps, neckline, and hem emphasize the femininity. The robe echos the same smocking, appliqué, and lace details, with a sweet Peter Pan collar, and snap closures at the top. I also love the puff sleeve details!

Great vintage condition. Please note the dress has small belt loops but no belt. There is also some wear the the under-layer of fabric, which is not noticeable as it is covered by the top layer.
